THOMAS "TREY" ROGERS

Driven Water Polo Player and Scholar

My goal is to play collegiate water polo at an exceptional school where I can also pursue my academic interests.

I fell in love with water polo the first time I played - it is an amazing sport!  I am an intense, well-rounded, attacker and driver who can also defend. I value input from coaches and teachers and work hard to absorb and translate what I learn into competition. I am a team player who challenges himself to reach new levels and strives to lead by example.

Despite all of the time I have committed to excelling in water polo, I have remained at the top of my class academically.  I am particularly strong and really enjoy mathematics.  I like to be challenged and am committed to academic excellence.

COMMUNITY
SERVICE

At Loyola High School, the students are encouraged to follow the Jesuit model "Men for and with Others." To do this, we are called to participate in various community service activities covering a wide array of social and personal issues. I have always made time to support my community and help others in need. One outreach activity that I felt especially good about was working as a team to build a house for a family  in Tijuana, Mexico. Working hard for the benefit of others is something that I personally enjoy, especially when you are able to witness the joy on their faces. I am very thankful to be in a position to help others and wish to continue my community outreach throughout my academic career and later on in life.
